Is Twitter redesign just like Facebook?

WaveUC - Blog New Twitter Profile Design

This past Tuesday, Mashable asstistant features editor, Matt Petronzio, allegedly had a major update on his Twitter page, which looked a lot like Facebook.  There was a main profile picture on the right side, a larger header image, a new “About” section right under the profile picture and major center section for content updates.

Is Twitter Becoming more Like Facebook?

Twitter continues to use their established sections like “who to follow” and “trends” as well.  Recently, Facebook added a very similar “trends” section to their page.  So, are they changing personalities? Twitter is becoming more like Facebook and vice versa? That sounds like a bad movie plot from the 80’s.

I remember earlier his month, Twitter made a minor change to its new home page.  This update primarily impacted the their desktop users. The goal of this alteration was to make the home page more closely resemble the company’s mobile version but it  was relatively minor compared to this new profile redesign.

As a social media management service provider, Wave Unified Communications is always on top of social media trends and updates to keep our customer’s social pages fresh.  Based on this update, it appears that the new Twitter header image size will be 1500px x 500px (the current design is 1252px x 626px).   Although this information has already been shared by many important news channels like CNN and FOX News, Twitter has not yet commented on this story.
